The Art Of Being A Great Leader Be A Great Follower

The greatest leader in the history of mankind was the greatest follower. He said, "I do nothing of myself, except that which I see the Father do." A true leader leads with integrity. He or she has a servant's heart. A true leader also leads with humility. My one of a kind leader said, "I resist the proud but I give grace to the humble."

Today, there is a lot of talk about alpha leaders, however the leader I'm talking about is the real Alpha and Omega. He is the beginning and the end. He is the first and the last. He is, that which was, that is, and that which is to come. When he walked this earth, he walked in great humility. He said, "I did not come to be served, but to serve."

Once there was a very proud leader by the name of king Nebuchadnezzar. He was warned about his pride, but he refused to change his ways. He was driven from his people and had to live with wild animals, and ate grass like cattle for seven years. His body was drenched with the dew from heaven and his hair grew like feathers of an eagle, and his nails like the claws of a bird.

At the end of the seven years, he humbled himself and repented of his foolish pride. His kingdom was restored back to him. This story keeps coming back to mind, when I hear all the talk about alpha leaders. It would be sad to see king Nebuchadnezzar's mistakes been repeated.

True leaders are like good shepherds who genuinely care for their sheep. They are not there to make a quick buck off their followers, or to use them for personal gain. They take a personal interest in their followers. They help their followers to become the best that they can be.

By now, you probably have guessed, who my greatest leader is. He is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the ultimate leader. Let's imitate him and become the leaders we were created to be.
